Ms. Jady Sit Founder and Principal
Ms. Sit started her classical ballet training at the early age of 10. In 1993, she received the Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal Award. In 1994, she graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts majoring in ballet. During the years of her studies, Ms. Sit has been invited to be guest performer for the Hong Kong Ballet Group and the Hong Kong Dance Company. She moved to Toronto in 1995. She continued her dance training in Modern dance and graduated from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 1998. She then went on to further her training in Modern dance at the Limon Dance Institute in New York. Ms. Sit is a Registered Ballet Teacher of The Royal Academy of Dance and she has been teaching ballet in Toronto since 2002.
MS. Joanne tay ballet teacher
Joanne started dancing at the age of 4 and received her training in Singapore. She obtained straight Distinctions for her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations from Primary to Grade 8. In addition, she completed her Vocational Examinations till Advanced 1 in Classical Ballet. With her passion in dance education, she joined Dancepointe Academy in Singapore and taught all children’s graded ballet for six years before coming to Canada. During her stint as a ballet teacher, she choreographed several concert items for the Academy’s annual concert. She also coached dancers who were preparing to pursue dance education in vocational dance schools such as School of The Arts (Singapore) and New Zealand School of Dance. Joanne believes that while learning the art form and ballet technique is important, character building is another essential aspect that she hopes to cultivate in her students. Besides her active engagement as a ballet teacher, she practiced as an acute care pediatric Registered Nurse in Singapore and is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Toronto.
